A Farewell From Miss Tilly
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you… we will not be opening for the Fall Session 2022 and Miss Tilly’s Ballet school will be closing its doors permanently. We have experienced logistical issues that I have been working hard to resolve, but in recent days it has become clear that it is not possible to open again for classes.
The past 52 years of teaching generations of children in San Francisco has filled my life with love and joy! Although the studio doors are closing, the Miss Tilly Ballet community remains strong, and I look foward to seeing you all around the city and watching your children grow.

Miss Tilly has taught ballet to the young people of San Francisco for more than 40 years. She has introduced more than 10,000 budding ballerinas and danseurs to the joy and discipline of classical movement and music in a warm, supportive and beautiful environment.
In 2002, she added theater arts classes to the ballet program, and now the school welcomes eager young actors and singers in addition to classical dancers into the gorgeously renovated studios on California Street at 17th Avenue.
Miss Tilly’s Ballet and Theater Arts offers over 30 classes a week for students ages 2 to 14. Her teachers and accompanists are expert at providing instruction designed to best promote a child’s emerging confidence and growing skills and to enhance a student’s love of performance.
